Many organizations in West Marin — and in the field of conservation — are doing tremendous work to preserve farmland for farming, to protect the local food system and to promote sustainable agriculture. As a member of this community, MALT is proud to support these partners in their work, both their programmatic endeavors and their events, when we are able. Every year, MALT sets aside a modest budget to do just this.
In the 2022 – 2023 fiscal year MALT was proud to sponsor the following programs:
- Agricultural Institute of Marin (AIM) Rollin’ Root Food Truck, which increases equitable access to fresh, healthy food grown on local farms and provides nutrition education in underserved communities. MALT is currently sponsoring the second cycle of the Marin City Health & Wellness Center partnership with Rollin’ Root.
- Point Reyes Farmers’ Market, which offers seasonal, locally-produced goods and crafts as well as a convivial space to enjoy music, socialization and a sense of community.
- West Marin Little League, the only little league program in San Anselmo, Fairfax and West Marin.
