Join us for a special donor Happy Hour at the home of MALT board chair Diana Giacomini Hagan in San Rafael on Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 5 – 7 pm.
The evening will feature award-winning cheeses from Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese Co. (PRFC) — Diana’s family business and a model agricultural business in West Marin. When Diana and her sisters took over their father Bob’s dairy, they built one of the country’s most celebrated cheese companies from the ground up. In 2005, the family placed a conservation easement with MALT, protecting the land in perpetuity. Today, PRFC is 100% women-owned, and their cheeses are beloved from coast to coast — including two years running on Oprah’s Favorite Things list.
The farm itself is as impressive as the cheese: a state-of-the-art robotic milking system keeps the herd comfortable and the operation humming, while an on-site methane digester converts waste into clean energy. It’s a working model of what sustainable, forward-thinking agriculture looks like on MALT-protected land.
Come connect with MALT staff and board, hear firsthand about our land protection and stewardship work, and raise a glass to the farmers and food producers who make Marin extraordinary, including Diana and her family at PRFC!
