Fall Black Mountain Hike
Point Reyes Station
A hike to the top of Black Mountain is unforgettable. So lace up your hiking boots, pack a picnic lunch and join us for a strenuous 7.5-mile hike with 1,200 feet of elevation gain.
For hikers interested in a more moderate experience, you are also welcome to stroll just part of the way up the mountain. For those that reach the top, you’ll take in panoramic views of the ranches MALT has protected.
Black Mountain is one of the most prominent landmarks in West Marin. From its peak, there are incredible views of the thousands of acres of farmland that you have helped MALT to protect.
Black Mountain Ranch, protected by MALT in 1993, covers nearly 1,200 acres on the mountain’s west face and supports beef cattle and organic row crops.
