Black Mountain Member Hike
Point Reyes Station
A tradition for over 20 years, MALT’s annual Member Hike at Black Mountain Ranch is a jaw-dropper. Pack a picnic lunch and summit this iconic mountain with us.
The hike is a strenuous six miles round-trip with 1,200 feet of elevation gain. But the climb is worth it. Black Mountain is one of the most prominent landmarks in West Marin. From its peak, there are incredible views of the thousands of acres of farmland that you have helped MALT to protect.
Black Mountain Ranch, protected by MALT in 1993, covers nearly 1,200 acres on the mountain’s west face and supports beef cattle and organic row crops.
