Plan Smart: Estate Planning from the Ground Up is a free, informative session on the fundamentals of estate planning, led by estate planning attorney Helen Milowe and planned giving consultant Jeff Woods. Whether you’re just beginning to think about your estate or updating plans you made years ago, you’ll gain practical information to help you plan with confidence. Bring a friend or family member – the conversation is open to everyone.
We’ll gather over cheese from MALT producers, coffee, and pastries from West Marin.
Alongside the practical basics, we’ll touch on philanthropic and legacy giving including how planned gifts can reflect your values and carry them forward for generations. Those curious about including MALT in their own plans are welcome to learn more about our Phyllis Faber Legacy Giving Circle, named for MALT’s visionary co-founder.
What you’ll learn:
- The basics of estate planning and practical next steps, whether you need to create or revise your plan
- The different vehicles for planned giving – from wills and living trusts, to beneficiary designations, to charitable gift annuities and charitable remainder trusts
- How your plan can reflect your personal values and leave a lasting legacy
Space is limited – reserve your spot today.
