Supporter Spotlight: Bill & Linda Tichy

December 6, 2021

MALT depends on donations to fulfill our mission to permanently protect Marin’s agricultural land for agricultural use. We appreciate everyone who supports our efforts, in whatever ways are possible.

Please meet Bill and Linda Tichy, and find out why they support MALT.

Bill and Linda Tichy: Honoring the Uniqueness of Marin

Separately and together, Bill and Linda have traveled extensively — he as a finance executive and she as an international flight attendant. But it’s West Marin that feels most special to them.

Bill bought their Inverness home 40 years ago, and 22 years ago he married Linda on its porch. Both retired, they actively support and volunteer for local organizations, including as MALT supporters for 20+ years and as members of our Legacy Giving Circle.

Inspired at our summer picnic by CEO Thane Kreiner’s vision for MALT, they gave a generous $5,000 gift toward the DRAWS initiative. “Supporting DRAWS makes us feel like we’re doing something tangible to help Marin ranchers and farmers deal with this unprecedented drought,” said Linda.

“We’ve flown all over the world and seen dozens of countries, but nothing beats West Marin,” said Bill, who has run and hiked all the trails in the area. “MALT’s work is important to preserve the agricultural land for the future.”
