Rolling Hills, Historic Farms and Fresh Local Foods

West Marin, an hour’s drive from San Francisco and north of Muir Woods, is world famous for its iconic rolling hills, breathtaking coastal vistas and refreshing blend of fog and sun.

Knitted into the fabric of Marin, from Point Reyes National Seashore to Tomales Bay along Highway 1, are more than 250 historic ranches and farms, home to cattle, sheep, organic vegetables and so much more.

For the past 40 years, the Marin Agricultural Land Trust (MALT) has played a critical role in preserving Marin’s ranches and farms from subdivision and development, protecting these beautiful working lands and the fresh, local foods we all love.
